The Ashoka House

The present Ashok House (North Boarding House) was ready in 1910 and the classes were shifted to it. The kumars then moved into the South Boarding House (present Vikram House). When the main building of the College was ready in 1912. The classes were held there and the Boarding House was used by the boys.

First the upper floor of this House was called THE CURZON HOUSE. Afterwards the Boarding House was called THE MACKAY HOUSE. After independence it housed the senior boys and was called THE SENIOR HOUSE. In 1972 it was christened ASHOK HOUSE.

The Rajendra House

Although the Jawahar House was ready in 1976, it just helped in solving the problem to some extent and that too of the students of Junior School only. The pressure on the Senior Houses was constantly increasing. Hence it was decided to build one more Boarding House to accommodate the senior students.

On October, 26, 1976 Shri Vasant Rao Uikey the then Education Minister laid its foundation stone. It was ready in two years time and was officially inaugurated by Shri Jagjeevan Ram the then Defense Minister on 25th November 1978.

The Jawahar House

The ever increasing pressure of Boarders on the two old boarding houses compelled the College Board to undertake the building of a New Boarding House. Once again our friends, well wishers and the M.P. Government came to the rescue.

The foundation stone of this project was laid by the late Shri Fakruddin Ali Ahmed the President of India on November 7, 1974. The ground floor of this building was ready for use in July, 1975. It was officially inaugurated by Dr. Karan Singh the then Union Minister for Health and Family Planning on 16th November, 1976. It accommodates the boys of the age group of 12 to 14 years and hence is popularly known as Middle House.
