SELF PROTECTION PROGRAM FOR GIRLS
SELF PROTECTION PROGRAM FOR JR. SCHOOL GIRLS
A Self Protection Program by FITCOMB, New Delhi was organized in the first week of July for the girls of Classes V and VI in the Junior School. Instructors Ms. Dipti Shankar and Mr. Karan from FITCOMB covered ways of avoiding conflict and how to deal with a variety of real-world situations. The aim of the workshop was to train the girls to be proactive in a crisis situation and be quick to respond effectively. Several scenarios were discussed; like what to do when locked in a room, how to escape in an event of a fire and how to react when followed by someone.
The students realized the importance of gaining the skills and confidence necessary to protect themselves; hence the need to learn self-protection techniques and strategies.
This Self Protection Program is spread over four sessions. The second session will be organized in the first week of August, the third session in the second week of November and the concluding session in January 2017.
