Career Guidance Activity

1."A Career Fair was organised at DC where 50 National and International Universities showcased their admission opportunities and available careers. Earlier, Prof Rakesh Mehdiratta, from Vijaybhoomi University spoke to the students of classes 10, 11 and 12 about unleashing the entrepreneurial mindset which was followed by a session from Huron University Canada represented by the Regional Manager, South Asia, Ms Anjali Anand Seth. She spoke about educational and employment opportunities in Canada."




2.Seminar for parents and students of classes 9-12 was held in DC on the topic "Be Future Ready". The gathering was informed about upcoming career opportunities and the latest trends in higher education. Each student of classes 9 and 11 was administered guidance for their future.




3.DC organised a workshop on Art and Design. Professors from Faculty of Arts and Design of De Montfort University, U.K., Mr Jamie Scott, senior lecturer of visual arts and Mr Gavin Kew, the operations manager with our own old dalian, Disha Lulla as the Student Ambassador from DMU conducted the workshop. Disha was able to showcase all the great progress she is making in her own studies there at DMU. The students were exposed to new perspective in Art and design.




4.Professor Troy Vasiga from University of Waterloo, Canada visited Daly College. Ms. Seetha from University of Waterloo also accompanied him. He conducted a Maths workshop for the students of classes XI and XII. A very enriching experience.




5.DC hosted Indian Universities Career Fair for students and Parents.




6.US Consulate General, Mumbai conducted a workshop on Basic Film Making for Social Good. It was attended by Dalians as well as students from other schools. They learnt the basics of movie making, like importance of lights, angles and photography.




7.Daly College organised a Career Fair for Parents and students of Classes X,XI and XII. Universities from UK, USA, Switzerland, Canada, Australia and Singapore were present.




8.USA universities group on a visit to Daly College. The students gained some more insight into the higher education landscape in the U.S. and emerging careers.




9.Mrs Shubhada Choudhary Director DAAD Mumbai,German Academic Exchange Service address to the Dalians. She talked about DAAD and gave information on study and research in Germany, and talked about German institutions of higher education. Thanks to Mr Avinash Kashyap and Mrs Klaudia Kashyap who facilitated the program.
